Local, Fresh and Healthy Snack Program
SUPPORT SIMONDS ELEMENTARY
Help us fund this community collaboration to provide every Simonds student with a healthy afternoon snack. It will take approximately $65 a day to operate the program. We've already found some great support and are looking to raise an additional $6,000 to fund the entire school year!
In 2023, Simonds lost its funding for the popular healthy afternoon snack program. As we do here in Warner, a collection of individuals and organizations has stepped in to help fill the need. Warner Public Market is happy to be partnering with Simonds PTO, Food For Thought NH, Kearsarge Food Hub and many others to see that every Simonds student gets a healthy snack in order to help them achieve the best educational outcomes possible.
Warner Public Market is happy to help facilitate the effort by offering our established wholesaling accounts and farm connections to find the best pricing possible. It was also agreed that using our established online merchant service to collect and account for all donations would be a quick and simple way to jump into action. In addition we have space in our cold holding and a licensed kitchen to properly handle and distribute the food. We are excited to work with the teachers, family, students and community to keep this great program going. 100% of donations, minus credit card fees, will go to benefit the program. Cash and check can also be collected at the market if you stop by during normal business hours.
