About the event
This workshop invites participants to experiment with typography using antique wood type to produce bold letterpress prints. Pull from hundreds of pieces of wooden letters, some as large as 5” tall, and many of which are over one hundred years old. Participants will learn about the history of this tactile printing process, learn the basics of typesetting, inking, and printing, and produce a collection of single- or multi-color prints on a letterpress proofing press.
No letterpress or printing experience necessary. All are welcome!
