Ribbed Frame Willow Basketry

Come learn willow basketry! Spend the day making a ribbed frame basket, traditional to the Roma peoples of Europe and versatile in it's design and use. Taught by Mary Fraser of Vermont, a willow basket weaver who apprenticed in Scotland and has been teaching for six years throughout New England. Class requires fair hand strength. Please bring your own pair of clippers.

Limited to 8 participants.

Classes will all be taught outside, with a backup plan in case of rain. The location is rustic, and participants should be comfortable being outdoors and working on the ground for most of the day. Address and directions will be shared with participants prior to the workshop.
