Pop-up: Lego Letterpress

Come try letterpress printing! Josh Dannin of Directangle Press in Goffstown, whose own art is currently hanging on the WPM walls, will be in the store demonstrating the letterpress process and folks can drop in anytime between 1 and 4 to learn how to make their own print to bring home. No experience necessary! Free of charge! All welcome!

Lego letterpress includes using lego tiles to create geometric, colorful letterpress prints. Create abstract patterns and representational designs piece by piece, utilizing a variety of lego tiles as building blocks. Learn the basics of inking and printing color-by-color on a letterpress proofing press.

Josh Dannin / Directangle Press

Josh Dannin is an artist and printmaker based in Goffstown, New Hampshire. He runs Directangle Press: a letterpress and risograph studio specializing in printing, publishing, and community workshops. He also teaches printmaking, letterpress, and design at Saint Anselm College and the Institute of Art and Design at New England College (formerly NHIA).

Dannin received a BFA in Printmaking and Photography from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, and an MFA in Printmaking from Ohio University. His printed and bound works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
