About the event

Even though our children are facing a mental health crisis in their schools, their communities, within their families, even struggling personally, we adults are so often at a loss for how to help them cope. This chasm between our children’s need for help with this crisis, and our inability to talk with them about it is the greatest threat to their well-being.

Please join author Irene Buchine as she shares her personal children’s story, “Celia and the Little Boy” and facilitates a discussion on this very important topic. Irene's book provides a window into the experience of childhood depression and offers a simple, authentic language to help each of us find our own voices to help us face this serious problem.

This event is free to the public.
