About the event
Learn how to give your clothes a longer life with mending techniques such as basic stitches, visible or decorative mending and darning. Liane will briefly share her research on the differences between slow and fast-fashion and the philosophical, practical and environmental impacts of both. Bring one or two items of clothing to mend or darn. Mending materials and tools will be provided, as well as guidance. No sewing experience needed - all are welcomed!
$5 workshop fee includes all mending materials. We will also have copies of “The Mender’s Companion” zine by the Montenegro sisters available for purchase.
